This year we decided to meet at Leeds on 7-8 Sept. As the number of attendees remained below twenty, Poonam Bhabhi and Kaladhar Ji hosted us at their home.
We all reached before 5 PM. Leeds had some carnival that day so we did witness young crowd in fancy dress wandering around, giving us a colorful welcome to Leeds. At home, we had some nice snacks/refreshments waiting for us. Some bhabhijis also brought a few items like Upma, Dahi-vada, making it plenty for us to choose from.
Before commencing the session, we all had a visit to the back gardens and photography session. The large apple tree, the hanging grapes and brilliant colors of flowers all around, we did manage to spend quite a bit of time capturing these in our cameras.
We started by lighting the candles by Gyaneshwari Ji and beautiful Ganesh Vandana dance by Mini . After that, after Vidyalaya Gaan, We started on a long due intro session by the members and their spouses, which in the informal/leisurely setting of the large living room became the highlight of this meetup.
The intro session brought out lots of stories, laughter and rich interaction. In a way we all felt that in the cozy settings of home, our stories and sharing made our bonds stronger and the visit a rich and memorable one.
Prior to dinner we briefly went through the NOBA updates and NOBA GSR Updates. After dinner we had a nice cake, cut by our youngest members present , Mini & Sanjay
Next morning weather was terrible, It was raining and we had to cancel our plans of picnic. Instead we gathered again at Kaladhar ji's place, where Poonam Ji made arrangements for nice Kachori/Aloo Sabji/Samosa/Chutney breakfast. Around noon we started heading back home, with sweet memories and few packets of delicious lunch packed.
This meetup up was enjoyed by all of us and we all wish it should happen a few more times during the year. ..
